One advantage to building in California is the consistent weather. A lot can be accomplished in a short amount of time when weather is not a negative factor. If a watchful eye is on the local weather report any down-time can be kept to a minimum. Rain of course is the most detrimental, if the project is correctly protected then workers can continue to do their work in the interior. Believe it or not, California’s wind can also be a factor, especially the Santa Ana winds. Securing items on the exterior & keeping a clean job site are of utmost importance. Safety is always one of the biggest challenges on a construction project, we strive to keep communication open between the superintendents and their subcontractor teams. The superintendents start each project with a safety binder, appropriate workplace signage and have the tools to conduct weekly safety meetings on a multitude of subjects. The subcontractor supervisor along with their team attend these meetings and confirm their presence by signing the Tailgate meeting forms. Not only is it helpful for all to review safety subjects but also brings professional camaraderie and opens the door to open communication. We believe open communication has been key in keeping everyone safe.

Projects underway

Another Animal Hospital Construction Project making great progress. This Animal Hospital has been under construction for a couple months and is starting to take shape. We are beginning the tenant improvements and will be ready for exterior finishes soon. South Bay Animal Hospital in San Jose, Ca. will be complete in Spring of 2015.
